Women inspired to boost business skills
A free conference to inspire businesswomen and entrepreneurs is being held in Leicester.
The Idea to Enterprise conference, run by Leicestershire County Council as part of the Superfast Leicestershire project, has been organised to inspire women and provide them with the chance to hear from female business leaders, question experts and learn new skills.
The event will take place at Phoenix Square, Midland Street, Leicester, on Friday 18 March. Running from 9.30am to 5pm the conference will include guest speakers, panel discussions and a talk from Education Secretary and Loughborough MP Nicky Morgan.
Councillor Blake Cabinet, cabinet member for rural broadband, said: “The Idea to Enterprise programme has already supported over 100 individuals since last September from across the county, so I hope this conference provides more opportunities for women to network and share experiences.
“We’ve got some truly inspirational speakers booked for the event to encourage businesswomen and give them the confidence to take the next step to success”.
Places are limited, to confirm attendance email deborah.read@leics.gov.uk.
