Phase 3 State Aid Public Consultation
Leicestershire County Council’s aspiration is to ensure that all properties across Leicestershire have access to superfast broadband. To advance this we will be extending our Superfast Leicestershire programme through a new £5.7m investment. This may increase to £11.7m should further funding be secured.
On this page you will find our Phase 3 State Aid Public Consultation document and associated State Aid Maps. These have also been sent to all known or potential broadband infrastructure providers. Responses to this Public Consultation will help us identify areas not currently served or due to be served by Next Generation Access (NGA) broadband services of 30Mbps or more.
This process is being undertaken in advance of a Superfast Leicestershire Phase 3 procurement which we hope to launch in May 2018.
We conducted an Open Market Review which launched late 2017. This has informed our understanding of the availability of NGA broadband across Leicestershire. This Public Consultation will determine which areas require additional public support and investment.
